La Pineda is a coastal resort located on Spain’s Costa Dorada. It became a popular resort with British and Irish tourists during the 1950’s at the start of the tourism boom. La Pineda is popular with holidaymakers due to its sunny weather and four kilometres of golden sand beaches.

The main attraction of the resort is undoubtably it’s stunning beaches. La Pineda’s beaches are coupled with breath-taking turquoise waters and golden sands, which make them the perfect place to kick back and relax while on your holiday in Costa Dorada. La Pineda is the perfect holiday destination for both families and couples. For couple’s who love a relaxing sun holiday, the resort is ideal. For families with children, La Pineda is close to Ferrari Land and PortAventura world, two of the biggest theme parks in Europe

During the summer there are daily, direct flights from Dublin to Barcelona Reus airport, with an estimated flight time of 2.5 hours. From Reus airport it is then a short 15-minute drive to La Pineda.

San Juan Festival

La Pineda’s annual festival is in honour of the town’s patron saint (Saint Jaun) and takes place at the end of July. During this festival you will find many musical and dance performances going on throughout the town.

As La Pineda is located in the north-east of Spain, the town experiences hot, dry summers and cool winters. Because of its climate, the summer is the best time to visit. During these months, temperatures average in the high twenties and this is La Pineda’s peak season for tourists.
