Take in the historic attractions of Banos de La Reina, an ancient Roman fish farm of which the ruins can be still seen today; take a walk through medieval times and explore the ruins at La Pobla D’Ifac, where a medieval walled village once stood; or venture into the old town of Calpe and admire the striking gothic churches.

 

Calpe is a great holiday destination for families due to its shallow water beaches which offer various water sport activities to take part in. There are also waterparks & theme parks nearby that kids will enjoy. • A day trip to Algar waterfalls is a popular tourist attraction. These beautiful waterfalls are the perfect place to relax or even go for a swim!
• For those who like to stay active, a hike to the viewpoint of Monte Toix ensures breath-taking views.

Nightlife

There are lots of bars in Calpe to choose from which offer a large range of beers, wines, and cocktails. There are also a couple of clubs if you fancy a dance. However, if you’re looking for a wild night out nearby Benidorm is the place to go.

From traditional to international cuisine, Calpe has it all! Due to Calpe being a coastal resort which was once a fishing village, there are many seaside restaurants to choose from which serve a variety of delicious seafood dishes.

For Families  

Terra Mitica theme park is a fantastic day out for all the family, with many rollercoasters and water attractions to enjoy! Families will also love Mundomar Animal Park, where you can swim with dolphins, meet the lemurs, get your picture taken with the colourful parrots and much more.

Beaches  

Calpe is home to some of Costa Blanca’s finest beaches, and with fourteen to choose from you’re spoilt for choice! Our personal favourite is the beautiful Platja de la Fossa, a golden sand beach located right next to the rocky headland of Calpe.

Shopping 

Visitors to Calpe must go and browse around the markets in the region, which sell local produce, jewellery, clothing and keep sake souvenirs. For those looking for high street shops, nearby Benidorm has a range of international retailers to choose from.

En Fallas Festival

En Fallas Festival in Calpe takes place in March and is held over a period of five days. During the festival, large papier-mâché statues line the streets and are then burned at midnight on the 19th of March to celebrate the beginning of spring.
