Although Costa Teguise is one of the most visited tourist resorts on the island, it has a quieter nightlife atmosphere than its surrounding towns, making it perfect for older couples and families.

There is a wide variety of restaurants to suit everyone in Costa Teguise. However, be sure to visit a tapas restaurant, as this is a must while on holiday in Lanzarote.

Beaches 

There are 5 beaches in the resort, all boasting beautiful golden sands. Playa Cucharas is the most popular beach in Costa Teguise. The beach is a kilometre long and usually experiences a gentle breeze, keeping sunbathers cool throughout the day.

Like the rest of the island, Costa Teguise’s biggest event of the year is Carnival, which usually takes place in the months of February or March. During the festivities you will find colourful parties, music performances and parades!

Best Time to Go 

The island of Lanzarote experiences sunny and warm weather all year-round, making it the perfect holiday destination for a winter sun holiday. However, we recommend visiting Costa Teguise Between June and August. During these months there are over 12 hours of sunshine daily with temperatures averaging in the low thirties.

Getting around  

Flights operate from Dublin, Knock, Shannon and Cork to Lanzarote year-round. The estimated flight time from Ireland is 4 hours and 10 minutes. From Arrecife airport, It only takes ten minutes by car to reach Costa Teguise. As it’s a relatively small resort, majority of tourists choose to explore the town by foot. Taxis are also very cheap, so there is no need to rent a car if you’d like to reach nearby resorts.
